Chopper Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring near a well-attended southern California coastline unexpectedly began spiraling wildly, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a line of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Videos shared on the internet capture the chopper beginning to twirl over the shoreline then plunging towards the border of the beach, where it gets stuck among palms and a staircase near the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five persons were rushed to the hospital including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the incident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were injured. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.

Authorities said the helicopter was linked to an yearly “Cars and Copters” charity gathering planned for Sunday.
